Refund Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions for the DemoPost service, operated by Cado bv, 3600 Genk, Belgium. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for these transactions.
This policy supplements our Terms of Service and does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
2. Free trial
The DemoPost Email plan includes a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required before the trial starts. You can cancel before the trial ends to prevent the subscription from converting into a paid subscription.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and the applicable monthly price, excluding applicable VAT, becomes due. Paddle calculates the applicable tax during checkout.
3. Managing your billing yourself
Inside your DemoPost account, the “Manage payment, invoices and cancellation” option opens the secure billing portal hosted by Paddle. There you can handle most billing matters yourself, without contacting us:
- View your subscription, its status and its next renewal date
- See all past payments and download the matching invoices as PDF
- Update or replace the payment method used for renewals
- Cancel the subscription so that it does not renew
Paddle also includes a link to this portal in the billing emails it sends you, so you can reach it even when you are not signed in to DemoPost. Refunds cannot be issued by you in the portal; they must be requested as described below.
4. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal described above. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise required by law, your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no further subscription charge is made after that date.
Canceling a subscription does not automatically create a right to a refund for the current billing period.
5. Refund requests
Refund requests are reviewed individually and are not automatically approved. When assessing a request, Cado bv and Paddle may consider the reason for the request, the timing of the charge, use of the service, any duplicate or erroneous charge, and applicable law.
Except where a refund is required by law, subscription charges and renewals are generally non-refundable once a paid billing period has started. We do not provide automatic or prorated refunds for unused time after cancellation.
6. SMS add-on
The DemoPost SMS Add-on requires an active DemoPost Email subscription and is activated automatically. If we cannot deliver a working number, the payment is refunded in full automatically.
If the add-on has been activated and charged, cancellation stops its future renewals. Any refund request for an add-on charge is reviewed case by case under the same principles as the main subscription.
7. How to request a refund
A refund is the one billing action that is not self-service. Contact us at hello@demopost.net and include the email address used for your DemoPost account, the relevant transaction or invoice reference, and the reason for your request. Do not send full payment-card details.
Because Paddle is the merchant of record, Paddle may communicate with you or request additional information about the transaction. If a refund is approved, Paddle processes it to the original payment method. Processing and bank settlement times can vary by payment method and financial institution.
8. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so that we can investigate the issue. This does not restrict any right you may have to dispute an unauthorised or incorrect charge with your payment provider.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy when our service, billing arrangements or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Material changes will apply prospectively and will not reduce rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
